The role reports to the System Test Manager and is located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
ABB is seeking Engineering majors to work as a summer intern in our System Test department. The System Test department is responsible for coordinating and performing hardware and software validation testing activities on all host and embedded software platforms prior to being deployed to our customers in the field.
Your responsibilities
- Perform various software development duties by using various programming languages to write automation tests that simulates user inputs into various host applications
- Utilize National Instruments LabVIEW programming interface to simulate signals and data into our equipment for hardware in the loop testing
- Learn different application areas in our ABB flow computers in order to write test procedures in our software test management tool (Smart Bear QA Complete)
- Convert written procedures into automation tests using various programming languages
- Perform code reviews with other Developers and maintain software version controls
- Execute written test procedures on the different application areas in our ABB flow computers and record pass/fail results
Your background
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in the US majoring in one of the following Engineering disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,and Instrumentation. Information Technology and Computer Information Systems majors are also accepted
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must have academic experience in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, or Java
- Must want to work with technology and is a hands-on person
- Comfortable with working within a team environment.
- Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US
