As an engineer on the athenaCollector Product team, you will work on varied product components used to effectively manage medical practices.The TeamThe athenaCollector product team builds a critical part of the athenaOne platform, which helps our medical provider clients manage their business and revenue cycle (RCM), automating claims and billing cycle management for well over $200 billion in client revenues.This practice management platform integrates with our clinical solutions to seamlessly scale with large complex practices, while providing complete visibility, to deliver better insight and control over activities such as claim submission, revenue reporting, medical coding, denials prevention and patient access, without interrupting clinicians, while improving patient experience.Job ResponsibilitiesLead, design and develop code on agile teams of Engineers, Scrum Master, Product Owners, and Experience DesignersCollaborate with and /or mentor and advise team members to promote productivity and effectiveness; sharing business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization.Typical QualificationsLead Engineers will typically have about 5+ years of engineering experience with significant product development and will have shown impact to larger team.Proficient in at least one modern programming language; relational databases, with modern UI frameworks helpful.We work in Agile TDD environments, so any Agile experience or CI/CD concepts is helpfulKnowledge of Unix/Linux, SQL, RESTful API, AWS and broad technologies all are helpfulWe are flexible and hire engineers with varied backgrounds, but hands-on experience in Java based technologies and React Native APIs, ReactJS, JavaScript or ECMAScript (OOJS) and JSX, are very desirable.About athenahealthHere’s our vision: To create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all.What’s unique about our locations?From an historic, 19th century arsenal to a converted, landmark power plant, all of athenahealth’s offices were carefully chosen to represent our innovative spirit and promote the most positive and productive work environment for our teams.
